Research interest:

I am a cognitive scientist with a background in Information Technology. My interest is to collaborate user centric ideas from cognition/psychology for solving representational and computational challenges in fields of socio-informatics and didactics. Since 1st September, 2016, I am a doctoral student under the combined supervision of Professor Katharina Zweig and Professor Jochen Kuhn to work with the topic “cognitive aspects of teaching algorithms” where my main aim is to solve information processing problems with multiple representations, and how representations can be best used to make judgement and decision making.

Education:

  • Present: PhD student in Algorithmic Accountability (Dept. of Computer Science), and Didactics (Dept. of Physics).
  • 2013-2016: M.Sc. in Cognitive Science
  • 2002-2006: B.E in Information Technology

Favorite Research Topics:

  • Cognition and Knowledge: Judgement and decision making
  • Information processing of symbolic/text representations (multiple representations)
  • Algorithmic Accountability
  • Cognitive aspects of teaching algorithms
  • Psycholinguistics and Natural Language Processing

Work Experience:

  • 2006 – 2012: Technology Analyst, Infosys Technologies Limited, Hyderabad, India
  • 2015: Data Scientist, Tobii Technology, Stockholm, Sweden
  • 2016: User Researcher, trivago GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany
